Waste of time and money?

I went to a Student Workshop today in Tai Po. It's a school of low-banding (grading) and the Workshop was done by a NET (Native English Teacher). It was on "Learning English through Poems & Songs". All I can say is that it was a waste of government funded money and time spent. These kids did not have a clue; they were rowdy and just really didn't give a damn. Two of their own teachers sat in the class as part of the programme, observing how things should be done. They just went through the motions but I can't really blame them. They probably see teaching there as just a way to make a living. Hardly any interest. When one of them decided to adjust the level of the air-conditioning, he was shouted abuse at but he just ignored it and sat back down at the back of the class. Hong Kong's education system really got problems and need strong leadership to bring it to the next level. Anyway, rant over!

Hmmmm...

I'm new at this so I don't really know how this is going to turn out. I've been wanting to do something like this but I'm a great procrastinator. However, I just hit 50 a couple of weeks ago so I think I'd better start. I'm sure this will evolve into something.
